Empowering Farmers Through Continuous Training and Knowledge Sharing

The National Coffee Cooperative Union (NACCU) remains dedicated to strengthening Kenya’s coffee sector by ensuring that farmers have access to the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in an increasingly dynamic agricultural environment.

As part of its ongoing commitment to member empowerment, NACCU regularly organizes farmer training programs, field demonstrations, capacity-building workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums across coffee-growing regions. These initiatives are designed to equip farmers with practical skills and modern agricultural techniques that contribute to increased productivity, improved coffee quality, and sustainable farm management.

The training sessions cover a wide range of topics, including good agricultural practices, climate-smart farming, soil fertility management, pest and disease control, pruning and crop husbandry, harvesting techniques, and post-harvest handling. By providing farmers with timely and relevant information, NACCU helps them make informed decisions that improve both farm performance and household incomes.

NACCU recognizes that continuous learning is essential for building resilient farming communities. Through strategic partnerships and direct engagement with farmers, the Union continues to promote innovation, sustainability, and excellence throughout the coffee value chain.

By investing in farmer education today, NACCU is helping secure a stronger and more prosperous future for Kenya’s coffee industry. Farmers who embrace best farming practices are better positioned to increase yields, improve coffee quality, access premium markets, and achieve long-term economic growth. Together, NACCU and its member cooperatives are cultivating a culture of learning, innovation, and sustainable agricultural development.
